As if that wasn't a lot of work, we also started learning about plants. We have learned about monocot and dicot seeds, what plants need to grow, and what the different parts of the plant are called. Students have started planting seeds for our Willett School Garden, and we have observed growing seeds.
We learned about fractions, we continued practicing addition and subtraction strategies, and this week we will learn to tell time to the half hour and quarter hour.
This week we will return to our Reading Street stories. This week's story is Henry and Mudge.
We had a special visitor on Friday. Officer Daday from the Attleboro Police Department came to Willett. He anwered questions about his job as a community helper and he let us climb into his police cruiser. We had lots of fun making the lights and sirens work!
Tomorrow, Senator Richard Ross will be visiting our class for a special read aloud. We are very excited!
